About Dolltime 6! 🤡🤩

Dolltime 6 is a multidimensional Fringe theatre troupe based in Portland, Oregon and Online that blends music, live performance, and video art.

We love to experiment — shifting between genres, tools, and styles — and we bring a collaborative spirit to everything we make.

We embrace experimentation and genre fluidity instead of pinning ourselves to one single style. That means you’ll find work that stretches from stripped-down cover songs to superhero-style music videos to avante-garde shorts. We see each project as a playground for transformation, rather than a declaration of final form.

Our workflow is intentionally open and collaborative. We keep multiple projects in motion at once — a creative “queue” system that lets ideas breathe, collide, and evolve across different formats. This approach keeps us resilient, energized, and ready to remix our own work with fresh perspectives.

Themes that guide us: transformation, evolution, and artistic playfulness. We celebrate the push-and-pull of getting things into the world: the joyful experiments, the partial successes, and the surprises that redirect the whole piece.

What We Believe #

Dolltime 6 is guided by three living principles (and counting):

1. 💞 Love for Dolls of ALL BODY TYPES We celebrate the full spectrum of shapes and sizes of human and planetary bodies. Every body is a vessel of perfect creation.

2. 🌱 Love as Something that Grows with Time Spent and Making Art Together Our work is built on the slow burn of collaboration — the kind of love that grows through group projects and activities such as recording and editing songs and videos, livestreaming on YouTube, and jamming on FaceBook.

3. 🎭 Action over Perfection We embrace the beauty of the attempt. Perfection is boring; we’re here for the wobble, the tumble, the moment that almost works.

What We’re Doing Now #

Right now, Dolltime 6 is in the process of manifesting more Dolls and Clowns to play with. We invite other creators, performers, action figures, and curious audiences to join our orbit. There’s room here for bold attempts, honest mistakes, and radiant growth.
